A spectacular beginning to this Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the first-hole blends in native hill country vegetation across two portions of the Bermuda grass fairway. A large oak tree borders the right hand side of the fairway and on the left, a beautiful cluster of bunkers protect the green from an approach on the left. Ideally, a second shot to the green should approach from the right center fairway, giving the golfer a 130-yard second shot to a slightly elevated green. The green is protected by bunkers on the front and left.
A wide open fairway entices the golfer on this oak tree-lined fairway. A large fairway bunker on the left will encourage a right center play down the fairway. Two sets of bunkers protect the green on the left hand side, but the hole is drivable in two shots with a well-played second shot with a run-up opportunity to the green in between two thoughtfully placed bunkers. Mature oak trees line the fairway down the right hand side and a lone oak tree comes into play on any shot played down the left fairway. A truly remarkable par-5, this hole is a showcase of this Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
This premier par-3 showcases 20-miles views of the surrounding Hill Country and Lake LBJ from a picture perfect tee box. This hole challenges the golfer to drive over a box canyon and two well-positioned pothole bunkers to reach an elevated green. The hole should be approached from the left as a substantial drop off faces any golfer that misses to the right.
An elevated tee box uncovers this scenic golf hole bordered by oak trees on the right hand side of the fairway. Two sister bunkers come into play on the second shot so golfers must decide to play behind or to the side of the bunkers. Two steep bunkers protect an elevated green on the left. Afterwards, the first of two Summit Rock Comfort stations await golfers with an assortment of snacks and beverages prepared daily for your enjoyment.
A showcase hole featuring a family of post oaks protecting an elevated green, this delightful par-4 challenges the golfer to play the drive to the left center fairway over a shamrock-shaped fairway bunker. An undulating uphill approach from this area should allow for an open look to the oval shaped green.
An inspirational hole with splendid views of the surrounding Hill Country and Lake LBJ to the north. This hole bends dogleg right and is located on a high point of the property and urges the golfer to stay left on the fairway to avoid a drop off and midpoint fairway bunkers that await errant shots to the right. A large bunker on the right protects the green that slopes downhill from left to right.
A longer par-4, this dramatic hole challenges the golfer with a downhill dogleg and a creek bed that runs across the fairway thwarting any attempts for an ultra-long drive. The second shot forces the golfer to play right of an iconic post oak tree into a narrow green protected by an expansive front bunker.
Views of Lake LBJ and the Highland Lakes Basin await golfers at this remarkable viewpoint from this scenic par-3 tee box. This hole drops approximately 80 feet down to an undulating green protected by two front bunkers. Golfers must clear a severe drop off and stay uphill of the pin placement for ultimate positioning.
Another hole with a scenic Hill Country view, golfers must clear a native 120-yard creek bed in order to land on a fairway that doglegs downhill to the green. A limestone wall frames the fairway that is protected by the native watershed area to the right and mature oaks on the left. Summit Rock’s second comfort station awaits golfers after completion of this hole.
A challenging par-3 that beckons golfers to play over Pecan Creek into an elevated green. Tee shots must clear the front of the green as a substantial slope will swallow any golf balls back into the Pecan Creek watershed.
A grand dogleg left golf hole featuring a lake on the left and large post oaks speckled along the right fairway. This hole is also protected by a large 50-yard fairway bunker that forces golfers to stay right of the water hazard. A tricky fairway bunker on the right will challenge the golfer’s tee shot. Players must navigate onto an elevated green protected by front and left-side bunkers.
A sensational finishing hole, this uphill par-5 challenges the golfer to cross not one, but two native vegetation areas before navigating a third shot in between two front bunkers protecting an elevated green. This hole features a gated triumvirate of post oaks golfers must pass through to gain an unaltered second shot across the second natural vegetation area.
